The meeting was part of a working trip to China by the Chairwoman of the State Securities Commission Vu Thi Chan Phuong. Also attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of units under the State Securities Commission of Vietnam and CSRC.

At the meeting, Chairwoman of the SSC Vu Thi Chan Phuong shared that the SSC always attaches importance to the cooperative relationship with the CSRC; since 2005, the two agencies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on bilateral cooperation in the securities sector to enhance the exchange of market information and exchange of working delegations and technical support. Accordingly, the two sides have organized many working delegations, training, and experience sharing in building and perfecting the legal framework and monitoring activities of the securities market.

Chairwoman Vu Thi Chan Phuong updated the development of the Vietnamese stock market and said that recently many stock investors from China have participated in the Vietnamese stock market. The State Securities Commission of Vietnam always creates favorable conditions for foreign investors to participate in the market, including investors from China.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Wu Qing, Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, highly appreciated the development of the Vietnamese stock market and said that this will be a market with great potential for development in the coming time.

Mr. Wu Qing also commented that the securities regulatory agencies of the two countries have many similarities in terms of organizational structure and regulations in decentralization of market supervision... Therefore, he suggested that in the coming time, the two agencies should have more frequent exchanges to share experiences in managing and supervising the securities market.
