Consider many important contents at the 33rd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee

From May 13-15, the 33rd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee will take place at the National Assembly House. Accordingly, on May 13, after the opening speech of the session by Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave its opinions on the supplementary assessment report on the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks and the State budget in 2023; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the State budget in the first months of 2024.

Comments on the Government's Submission on the allocation of the medium-term public investment plan using State budget capital for the 2021-2025 period and the 2024 capital plan for tasks and projects using the increased central budget revenue in 2022 that have completed investment procedures.

The National Assembly Standing Committee also gave opinions on the National Marine Spatial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

On May 14, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue; and gave opinions on the investment policy for the national target program on cultural development for the 2025-2035 period.

Along with that, give opinions on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution No. 119 of the National Assembly on piloting the organization of urban government model and some specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man will deliver the opening speech at the session.

At the same time, give opinions on the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting the addition of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province.

On May 15, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave its opinion on the report on the results of monitoring the settlement and response to voters' petitions sent to the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly; and reviewed the report on the National Assembly's petition work in April 2024.

Participate in giving opinions on the draft report synthesizing opinions and recommendations of voters and people sent to the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly. The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will present a report (summary) synthesizing opinions and recommendations of voters and people sent to the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

In particular, give opinions on the preparation for the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly and summarize the 7th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Consider the draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the highest military rank for a number of positions and titles of officers at the general level of the Ministry of National Defense as prescribed in Clause 4, Article 15 of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.

The National Assembly Standing Committee commented on the Government's report on practicing thrift and combating waste in 2023.

At the same time, give opinions on the 2022 State budget settlement report (including the report on the implementation of the provisions in Clause 6, Article 3 of Resolution No. 91 on approving the 2021 State budget settlement; Resolution No. 94 dated November 26, 2019 of the 14th National Assembly on tax debt relief, late payment penalty debt relief, late payment interest for taxpayers who are no longer able to pay the State budget) .
