A tanker truck brazenly driving against traffic has sparked public outrage.
On October 27th, the Northwest Traffic Police Station ( thuộc the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police) announced that they had questioned the driver of the concrete mixer truck that drove against the flow of traffic in Cu Chi.
The driver of the concrete mixer truck was driving against the flow of traffic, endangering other road users and vehicles.
Upon verification, the Northwest Traffic Police Station identified the driver of the aforementioned tanker truck as Mr. NVT (47 years old, from Long An province). Subsequently, the traffic police invited Mr. T. to the station for questioning.
Here, Mr. T. admitted his violation. The Northwest Traffic Police Station issued an administrative violation report against Mr. T. for driving against the flow of traffic on a road with a "No U-turn" sign. According to Decree 100/2019 amending and supplementing Decree 123/2021 ND-CP, Mr. T. will be fined from 4 to 6 million VND and have his driver's license revoked for 2 to 4 months.
On October 26th, Mr. NTN (from Cu Chi district) recorded a video showing a cement mixer truck driving against the flow of traffic on a road in Cu Chi district (at the intersection with Le Vinh Huy road, Cu Chi district).
According to Mr. N., at the time, he was driving to work when he saw a tanker truck on Provincial Road 8. Upon reaching the intersection with Le Vinh Huy Street, the truck suddenly drove against the flow of traffic in the lane heading from Binh Duong Province towards the Cu Chi overpass. Afterward, the tanker truck drove into a nearby construction site.
Outraged by the dangerous driving behavior and disregard for the lives of other road users, Mr. N. posted the clip on social media.
