Observations in Tuy Hoa city show that, apart from a few places like the night market in Ward 7, Phan Luu Thanh pedestrian street, and pubs, almost the entire city closes after 9 PM.

Tourists didn't have enough fun, because the city went to bed early.

Ms. Le Thao Trang (32 years old, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) said: "It was only 10 PM, but the shops and restaurants in the center of Tuy Hoa were already closing. We went to Nghinh Phong Tower, took a short walk and had a drink at a nearby shop before returning to the hotel."

Mr. Nguyen Van Khang (a tourist from Da Nang ) shared that Tuy Hoa should create more nighttime tours, such as nighttime art performances at Nhan Tower, vibrant bars and clubs along the coast that extend their operating hours until 3 am, or cafes that are open 24/7 so visitors can enjoy coffee while admiring the city lights at night…

According to Mr. Ho Van Tien, chairman of the Phu Yen Tourism Association, the locality has organized many night-time tourism events and products in the past, but they still cannot meet the needs of tourists due to limited operating hours and a lack of unique offerings.

"Although night streets and night markets have been organized, the goods sold here are very generic, such as clothes and grilled skewers..."

"The city should showcase and sell local specialties, and organize themed activities in the market such as displaying and experiencing playing stone musical instruments, or experiencing tuna meat... In addition, it must create favorable conditions in terms of space and promotion so that businesses and individuals can feel secure in doing business," Mr. Tien suggested.

The streets of Dien Bien Phu, Hung Vuong commercial street, Le Trung Kien pedestrian street, and Phan Luu Thanh are open from 6 PM to 11 PM.

Tourist attractions such as the Swan Tower, April 1st Square, and Nghinh Phong Tower will be open from 6 PM to 11 PM… In addition, convenience stores and supermarkets in the city will also be open from 6 PM to 11 PM.

During the period 2026-2030, Ho Son regulating lake will host recreational activities on the water (water polo, boating, puppet shows, lantern floating, etc.); street music, fast food stalls, vending machines… from 6 PM to 11 PM.

Additionally, there are nighttime sightseeing routes in Tuy Hoa City. Tourists can experience the local cuisine and take city tours by electric car, double-decker bus, etc.

The Nguyen Van Huyen book street displays and sells books and products related to reading culture, while river and sea tours operate from 6 PM to 11 PM.

The total investment for developing Tuy Hoa City's night-time economy by 2030 is approximately 730 billion VND (12 billion VND from the state budget and 718 billion VND from other legal sources).

Specifically, the period from 2024 to 2025 will focus on renovating and developing existing facilities and constructing several projects to promote the night-time economy. The total investment is approximately 60 billion VND.

The period 2026-2030 calls for attracting investment in large-scale projects and themed entertainment and recreation areas. The total investment for this period is estimated at approximately 670 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thang, Vice Chairman of the Tuy Hoa City People's Committee, said that currently, bars and nightlife venues are limited to operating hours until 11 PM. The proposed plan will allow these destinations to operate for longer periods, meeting the needs of tourists and developing nighttime tourism.
