Ba Ria General Hospital (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) has successfully performed surgery to reattach the right arm of a man who had it severed in a work accident.

Earlier, on the morning of November 13th, Mr. HS (born in 1984, residing in Chau Duc district) had his right arm severed by a net-weaving machine. After the accident, the patient's wound bled profusely, and his family used bandages to apply pressure to the wound to stop the bleeding. The severed arm was preserved in an ice chest and brought to Ba Ria General Hospital.
Upon arrival at the hospital's emergency room, the patient was found to be in shock, experiencing severe pain, agitated, with pale skin and mucous membranes, profuse sweating, and bleeding from a bandaged shoulder wound. The on-call team activated an internal red alert to mobilize resources for arm reattachment and save the patient's life. After nearly 7 hours of surgery, the severed arm was successfully reattached. Currently, the patient is conscious, in stable condition, the reattached arm is functioning well, the hand is warm and pink, the radial pulse is palpable, there is no more swelling, and the wound is stable.
According to the doctors, this was a special surgery successfully performed at the provincial level to save a severed limb. This not only restored the patient's mobility but also provided aesthetic benefits for the future.
