Handing over the site of Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project in October 2025

According to the Ministry of Construction , the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Project (Phase 1) under the public-private partnership (PPP) method started construction on August 19, 2025. However, according to the report of Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Investment Company Limited (project enterprise), up to now, the progress of handing over the site for the project is still slow, some works and items on the project's critical path have not been handed over the site to access the construction site, greatly affecting the progress of the project's design and construction.

To ensure progress, the Ministry of Construction requests the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to continue paying attention to and directing relevant units to decisively resolve difficulties and obstacles, accelerate land clearance work, and hand over the project site by October 2025, so that construction can proceed according to the signed project contract schedule. At the same time, this will meet the requirements for disbursing land clearance funds for the project in 2025.

The Ministry of Construction also proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider handing over the site at some priority locations, the project's progress critical route from Km40+700 to Km53+600 to access the construction site and start construction soon. According to the Ministry of Construction, this is the route passing through the communes of Dinh Quan, Phu Hoa, Tan Phu, Phu Lam, Dong Nai province and needs to handle the loading of weak ground.

The Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway is over 60km long, starting at Dau Giay intersection, Dau Giay commune; ending at Phu Lam commune, Dong Nai province, with a total investment of nearly 8.5 trillion VND.

The project is designed according to the standards of a class 100 highway, with a design speed of 100km/h, a scale of 4 lanes, a complete roadbed width of 24.75m, and synchronous auxiliary items such as: Non-stop toll collection system, control center, lighting system, intelligent traffic monitoring (ITS). In phase 1, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway is invested with a roadbed width of 17m, especially at the locations of weak soil treatment, excavated and raised roadbeds, intersections, emergency stops and bridge works on the route will be invested according to the scale of the complete phase with a roadbed width of 24.75m. The construction period is expected to be 24 months, completed on August 19, 2027.

Previously, 4 districts of the old Dong Nai province including Thong Nhat, Dinh Quan, Xuan Loc and Tan Phu were transferred 814 billion VND in capital to serve the project's site clearance work.
