(HNMO) - On the afternoon of May 12th, the Party Cells of the Agriculture and Rural Development Department and the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Hanoi Moi Newspaper conducted a field trip to Quoc Oai district for a thematic discussion: "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, ethics, and style regarding upholding the spirit of responsibility, exemplary conduct, discipline, and order of cadres and Party members in performing their duties."
Attending the thematic discussion were Comrade Nguyen Minh Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee and Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper; Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper Luong Chi Cong and Lai Ba Ha; members of the Party Committee; and Party members of the two Party branches. Also present were Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Quoc Oai District Nguyen Truong Son; and Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quoc Oai District Pham Quang Tuan.
At the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Vu Han, Director of the Culture, Information and Sports Center of Quoc Oai District, informed the Party branches of Hanoi Moi Newspaper about the socio -economic development and security and defense situation in the district. Over the past period, under the close guidance of the Party committees and government at all levels, and with the efforts of all cadres, Party members, people, and businesses, Quoc Oai District has upheld its heroic traditions, unity, dynamism, and creativity, overcoming difficulties and challenges and achieving quite comprehensive achievements, creating many outstanding milestones.
When mentioning Quoc Oai, the first thing that comes to mind for many is the legend of Zen Master Tu Dao Hanh, associated with the special national historical site of Thay Pagoda (Sai Son commune), along with other historical sites such as Long Dau Pagoda, Cac Co Cave, and the Fairy Chessboard, forming an inseparable complex of scenic spots. Quoc Oai district is honored to have been recognized by the Hanoi People's Committee as a "Special National Historical Site Tourist Destination of Thay Pagoda and the Sai Son, Phuong Cach, and Hoang Xa rocky mountain area". This provides an opportunity and favorable conditions for Quoc Oai to continue preserving, promoting, and publicizing its precious traditional cultural values to visitors from all over, while simultaneously developing its socio-economic aspects and building a prosperous and beautiful homeland.
During the thematic meeting, party members from the two branches visited the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House at the foot of Thầy Mountain. During the long resistance war against the French colonial invaders, President Ho Chi Minh stayed here from February 3rd to March 3rd, 1947. His first visit to Sài Sơn was on November 10th, 1946. During his time there, President Ho Chi Minh, along with the Central Party Committee, formulated many important strategies. After leaving Sài Sơn, he went to Việt Bắc, continuing to lead the resistance war against the French colonialists until complete victory. Ten years later, on May 19th, 1957, he returned with Comrade Nguyễn Lương Bằng to visit the ancestral house and the One-Roof Pagoda...
This training session aims to raise awareness among cadres and Party members of Hanoi Moi Newspaper about the basic contents and immense value of Ho Chi Minh's thought, ethics, and style, the importance of renewing the content and improving the quality of Party branch meetings and thematic discussions throughout the Party Committee, thereby creating a transformation in the implementation of assigned political tasks.
