Emergency arrest of suspect of property theft in Ca Mau, hiding in Dong Nai

On December 1st, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Ca Mau province announced the urgent arrest of Nguyen Vu Hao (28 years old, residing in Tran Hoi commune, Tran Van Thoi district, Ca Mau province), a suspect in a house burglary. Hao was apprehended while hiding in Dong Nai province.

According to initial information, on the morning of November 28th, after their child went to school, Mr. and Mrs. LVT (48 years old, residing in Rach Nhum hamlet, Khanh Binh Dong commune, Tran Van Thoi district) locked their house and went to their shrimp farm in Vien An commune, Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau province. Around 11:30 AM that same day, L.D.D (17 years old, Mr. LVT's child) returned home from school and discovered that the room was in disarray and the bedroom window was broken. They immediately called their parents. Mr. and Mrs. LVT checked their house and found many belongings missing, so they reported the incident to the Khanh Binh Dong commune police.

According to Mr. LVT's report, the stolen items included 7 24K gold rings (totaling 6.7 taels); 1 ring weighing 3 taels; 1 necklace weighing 3 taels; 3 pairs of earrings weighing 2 taels (all 18K gold); and 1 mobile phone. The total value of the stolen items is over 500 million VND.

Immediately afterwards, the case was directed by the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department's leadership to the Criminal Investigation Department for investigation. The Criminal Investigation Department examined the scene, collected documents and evidence, and coordinated with local police to quickly review, verify, and identify the suspect.

However, after stealing the property, the suspect fled the area. The Criminal Investigation Department quickly deployed forces to track him down. At around 9:00 AM on December 1st, the Criminal Investigation Department located and arrested Nguyen Vu Hao, who was hiding in Long Tho commune, Nhon Trach district ( Dong Nai province ). The suspect was transferred to Ca Mau for investigation and clarification.
