Information from Tuy Duc District Medical Center ( Dak Nong ) said that about 40 days ago, a 5-year-old girl in Quang Tan commune was bitten by a neighbor's dog while playing.

Six days later, the dog was found dead. However, despite knowing about the incident, the family did not take the child for a rabies vaccination. On August 1, H showed signs of fear of wind, water and strangers, so he was taken to Dak Nong General Hospital for treatment. Due to the severity of the illness, the patient died shortly thereafter.
On August 3, Tuy Duc District Medical Center (Dak Nong) coordinated with Quang Tan Commune Medical Station to investigate and monitor the case and epidemiological factors related to the death of a patient due to a rabid dog bite.

Through community investigation, 3 more cases of exposure were discovered, including 2 brothers of the child and a neighbor. Currently, the authorities are monitoring the exposed cases to have timely treatment and support plans.
