On June 2nd, according to information from the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province issued a decision approving the list of textbooks for grades 5, 9, and 12 to be used in general education institutions in the province for the 2024-2025 school year.

Accordingly, grades 5 and 9 use the "Chan Troi Sang Tao" (Creative Horizons) textbook series published by Vietnam Education Publishing House. English textbooks use the "Global Success" series, also published by Vietnam Education Publishing House.
Grade 12 uses the "Connecting Knowledge with Life" textbook series published by Vietnam Education Publishing House. English textbooks also use the "Global Success" series. National defense and security education uses the "National Defense and Security Education" textbook published by Vietnam Education Publishing House.
Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training approved and announced the list of textbooks for grades 5, 9, and 12 to be used from the 2024-2025 school year. According to the approved list, there are 41 textbooks for subjects and educational activities for grade 5 students to be used in general education institutions from the next school year. Similarly, the number of approved books for grade 9 is 48 and for grade 12 is 39.
In the 2023-2024 school year, students in grades 5, 9, and 12 will study textbooks from the 2006 general education curriculum, marking their final year under the old curriculum. The new textbooks for grades 5, 9, and 12, which will begin in the 2024-2025 school year, will help students actively engage in learning, connect learned knowledge and skills to real-life situations, and enable teachers to innovate teaching methods and successfully implement the 2018 general education curriculum.
