The Ministry of Construction informed that on November 30, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Official Dispatch No. 234/CD-TTg on launching and implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign" to rapidly rebuild and repair houses for families whose houses were damaged by recent natural disasters in the Central provinces. In particular, the Government assigned the Ministry of Construction to direct the Department of Construction of localities and relevant agencies to urgently research and advise the Provincial People's Committee to propose a number of model house designs according to the customs, practices and cultural traditions of the indigenous people so that people can proactively choose a model that is suitable for their ability to mobilize resources and prevent natural disasters.
According to the Ministry of Construction, in recent times, localities across the country have designed and announced nearly 200 housing designs that are suitable for the customs, practices, and cultural traditions of each place. The Ministry of Construction recommends that localities continue to announce and promote communication for people to refer to and choose, suitable to their family conditions. Regarding storm and flood resistant housing models, localities that previously implemented housing support policies for poor households to avoid storms and floods have designed 3-5 housing models, and now the Ministry of Construction recommends continuing to promote the introduction to the people. At the same time, the Ministry of Construction requested localities to direct the Department of Construction and relevant agencies to continue researching, designing or reviewing and adjusting typical storm and flood prevention housing models, suitable to the current situation, widely publicized on the Department of Construction's Electronic Information Portal as well as the media for people to refer to and choose. The design models must ensure area, quality, storm and flood prevention and have reasonable height, ensuring safety for people.
In addition, localities need to direct the Department of Construction, news agencies and newspapers in the area to announce and provide full, timely and widespread information about these housing designs to the people; encourage people to consult and choose house models that are suitable to their customs, practices, cultural traditions as well as the resource conditions of each family... - the Ministry of Construction proposed.
