The Department of Transport has announced that the maximum speed limit on the Thu Duc steel overpass (for traffic heading from Dong Nai province to Ho Chi Minh City) will be reduced from 60km/h to 40km/h during the construction of pillar TH2. The adjustment will begin from the middle of the Thu Duc steel overpass.

In addition, the transport sector has also installed alternative route guidance signs for vehicles on Hanoi Highway (before reaching the Thu Duc steel overpass) from Suoi Tien to the Thu Duc steel overpass to make it easier for drivers to identify the route.

Metro Line 1 has a total investment of over 43,000 billion VND. The project spans nearly 20km with 3 underground stations and 11 elevated stations. To date, the project has reached over 98% completion. Contractors are currently implementing the final stages to bring the project into commercial operation in the fourth quarter of 2024. In particular, the construction of 9 pedestrian overpasses connecting to the 9 elevated stations of Metro Line 1 is being accelerated.

Nine pedestrian overpasses have been built connecting to the metro stations, including: Tan Cang, Thao Dien, An Phu, Rach Chiec, Phuoc Long, Binh Thai, Thu Duc, High-Tech Park, and National University.

Once completed, the pedestrian bridge will ensure safe connectivity and accessibility for metro passengers. It will also serve as the station's primary emergency exit in case of an emergency.
