21 businesses, cooperatives, and entrepreneurs were honored by Cam Xuyen district (Ha Tinh province) for their significant contributions to socio -economic development and active participation in community activities.
On the afternoon of October 9th, the People's Committee of Cam Xuyen district organized a meeting with businesses to commemorate the 19th anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2023) and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (October 29, 1993 - October 29, 2023). |
Leaders of Cam Xuyen district presented flowers to congratulate the Cam Xuyen District Business Association on the occasion of October 13th.
Cam Xuyen district currently has 599 enterprises, 125 branches and offices of enterprises, and 128 cooperatives. In the first nine months of 2023 alone, the district established 68 new enterprises. Over the past period, enterprises, entrepreneurs, and cooperatives in the district have consistently affirmed their important role and position in the socio-economic development of the locality.
In the first nine months of 2023, the total revenue of enterprises and cooperatives reached over 2,100 billion VND (an increase of over 15% compared to the same period in 2022); of which the enterprise sector accounted for 1,760 billion VND; and the cooperative sector accounted for 340 billion VND. Contributions from enterprises and cooperatives accounted for 18.8% of the total local budget revenue.
Currently, the entire district has 5,786 workers employed in enterprises and cooperatives. In addition, these enterprises and cooperatives attract over 3,600 seasonal workers each year. Basic income for workers is maintained, averaging around 8 million VND per person per month, with some enterprises earning over 10 million VND per person per month.
Despite the challenging general conditions, many businesses have been proactive, promptly innovating their operations and flexibly expanding their markets. The business community in Cam Xuyen remains dynamic and creative, overcoming difficulties and maintaining stable production and business operations.
Secretary of the Cam Xuyen District Party Committee Nguyen Van Thanh delivered a speech at the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Cam Xuyen District Party Committee Nguyen Van Thanh affirmed that the district leadership always accompanies and creates favorable conditions for businesses and cooperatives to operate most effectively. He expressed his hope that the business community and entrepreneurs in Cam Xuyen district will grow stronger, promote linkages and integration; build upon achievements, overcome difficulties and challenges, and make worthy contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality; contributing to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Cam Xuyen district.
At the meeting, the People's Committee of Cam Xuyen district honored 21 outstanding enterprises, cooperatives, and entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to socio-economic development, fulfilled their labor policies and financial obligations to the State, and actively participated in community and social welfare activities.
On this occasion, Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company (Cam Xuyen town) donated 500 million VND to the local government for the construction of the main hall of Huu Quyen Temple; and donated 100 million VND to the Education Promotion Fund and the Fund for Agent Orange/dioxin victims and people with disabilities in Cam Xuyen district.
