Those are brothers Nguyen Le Bao Long (12H class - Chemistry major) and Nguyen Le Thanh Cong (12S class - Biology major), who both won first prize in Biology.
Speaking to the press, Long and Cong said they were very happy with the results they had just achieved. Both are continuing to study hard to participate in the next exams.
Long shared that, although he is a chemistry major, he also loves biology because of its logical and interesting nature. Therefore, Long always seeks out and strives tirelessly to fulfill his passion.
The twin brothers are Nguyen Le Bao Long and Nguyen Le Thanh Cong.
As for Cong, he has loved Biology ever since he was introduced to it. Therefore, Cong spent a lot of time accumulating and systematizing his knowledge before entering the exam.
According to Long, Cong, and their family, both brothers share the dream of becoming doctors. After finishing the national excellent student competition, they are continuing to prepare for the upcoming international excellent student competition.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Principal of Lam Son Specialized High School, added that in the 2023-2024 national excellent student competition, the school had 83 out of 84 students from Thanh Hoa province winning awards. Among the 84 award winners, there were 9 first prizes, 22 second prizes, 23 third prizes, and 30 consolation prizes. Biology was the subject with the most first prizes won this year (3 awards).
Before the exam, we prepared very early. Starting from the end of the previous school year, the school proactively formed selection teams, conducted summer training, and provided additional knowledge enrichment for the students. This year, Thanh Hoa province participated in the national excellent student selection exam with 90 candidates, evenly distributed across 9 subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Literature, History, Geography, and English.
