National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue departs to attend the 44th AIPA General Assembly and pay official visits to Indonesia and Iran.

At the invitation of the Chairman of the People's Delegates Council of the Republic of Indonesia, Chairman of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Puan Maharani, and the Speaker of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, on the morning of August 4th, Politburo member and Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue led a high-level delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly departing from Hanoi to attend the 44th AIPA General Assembly (AIPA-44) and pay official visits to the Republic of Indonesia and the Islamic Republic of Iran from August 4-10.

The delegation included members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam: Bui Van Cuong, Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office; Vu Hai Ha, Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee; Le Minh Tri, Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuracy; Le Quang Manh, Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee; Giang Pao My, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lai Chau province; Ngo Dong Hai, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thai Binh province; and Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Do Hung Viet; Deputy Ministers of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan and Phan Thi Thang; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Trung; Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Council, and Deputy Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Ngoc Tuan; Vietnamese Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia Ta Van Thong and Vietnamese Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran Luong Quoc Huy also participated in the delegation.

National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue led the high-level delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to attend the 44th AIPA General Assembly in Indonesia to continue implementing the policy of proactively and comprehensively integrating into the international community, elevating multilateral diplomacy; promoting priorities, enhancing the role and position of Vietnam and its National Assembly in regional and global parliamentary cooperation mechanisms, thereby contributing to promoting the common diplomatic efforts of the Party and State for the national interest; affirming the role of the Vietnamese National Assembly, proactively and actively making substantive contributions to the content of AIPA.

The official visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to the Republic of Indonesia and the Islamic Republic of Iran aims to continue implementing the Party's 13th National Congress's foreign policy guidelines, proactively and actively consolidating and expanding the foundation of political relations, promoting effective and substantive cooperation between Vietnam and the two countries in all fields and through Party, National Assembly, Government channels, and people-to-people exchanges, strengthening trust with partner countries and traditional friends; and building and consolidating relations between high-level leaders of Vietnam and high-level leaders of the two countries.

The visit affirms Vietnam's commitment to prioritizing the development and further promotion of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with traditional friendly countries in Asia and the Middle East, aiming to open up new opportunities for economic and trade cooperation and boost cooperation in international forums.
