Vietnamese community in Slovakia supports flood victims with more than 17 thousand euros

On September 20, the Vietnamese Embassy in Slovakia symbolically received 17,095 euros donated by the Vietnamese community in Slovakia to support compatriots in the country affected by the recent typhoon Yagi .

This is the amount of money that the Vietnamese Association in Slovakia raised in the community after more than a week of responding to the call of General Secretary and President To Lam, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.

This amount of money was transferred by the Vietnamese Association in Slovakia to the Vietnam Fatherland Front with the desire to help the victims of typhoon Yagi stabilize their lives soon.

Touched by the sentiments and hearts of the Vietnamese community in Slovakia, Charge d'Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Slovakia Nguyen Ngoc Anh highly appreciated the positive and proactive spirit of the Vietnamese community in Slovakia and sincerely thanked the Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Association in Slovakia and the entire community for actively promoting the spirit of mutual love and support, promptly joining hands to support people in the country to overcome difficult times.

*Previously, the staff, employees and spouses of the Vietnamese Embassy in Slovakia donated one day's salary to each person, totaling 8 million VND.
