This morning, December 4th, in Vinh City, Nghe An province, the Emulation Cluster of the Journalists' Association of 6 provinces in the North Central region, including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh , Quang Tri, and Thua Thien Hue, held a conference to summarize emulation and reward work in 2024 and implement tasks for 2025.

In 2024, the journalists' associations of the six provinces in the North Central region closely followed the professional and political tasks of each locality, continuously improving the leadership and management role of the association's standing committee in activities related to studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh, combined with the education of professional ethics for journalists.
Journalists' associations in the emulation cluster continue to implement Directive No. 43 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation"; strengthen inspection and supervision of compliance with legal regulations on journalism, and build a cultural environment in press agencies towards the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day on June 21 (1925 - 2025), and the Journalists Association Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.
In addition, the journalists' associations of the six provinces in the North Central region continue to implement digital transformation in journalism, applying artificial intelligence in accordance with the conditions of each province and updating modern media trends, diversifying professional activities; organizing journalism awards well, publishing professional special issues, renewing membership cards, admitting new members, and awarding the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Journalism" commemorative medal.
At the conference, the journalists' associations of the North Central provinces unanimously agreed on 10 important goals to be achieved in 2025. These include focusing on enhancing leadership and coordination in journalistic activities in the region; strengthening inspection and supervision of compliance with the 2016 Press Law; and adhering to the 10 regulations on professional ethics and the Code of Conduct for the Use of Social Media by Vietnamese Journalists.
Simultaneously, we will closely coordinate with the provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the local Departments of Information and Communications in providing and guiding information to press agencies and journalist members to ensure their activities adhere to the principles, objectives, and laws. We will do a good job of providing professional training for members, improving their skills, professional ethics, and journalistic integrity in the new situation. We will effectively fulfill our role in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of journalists in the locality.
At the conference, representatives from the journalists' associations of six provinces in the North Central region signed a commitment to compete in 2025; they also participated in the review and unanimously agreed to propose that the Vietnam Journalists Association award the Emulation Flag to the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists' Association and Certificates of Merit to the journalists' associations of Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa provinces.
