This morning, December 4, in Vinh City, Nghe An Province, the Emulation Cluster of the Journalists Association of 6 North Central provinces including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh , Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue held a conference to summarize the emulation and reward work in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025.

In 2024, the Journalists Association of the 6 North Central provinces closely followed the professional and political tasks of each locality, constantly improving the leadership and management role of the Association's Standing Committee in activities of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, associated with educating professional ethics of journalists.
Journalists' associations in the emulation cluster continue to implement Directive No. 43 of the Party Central Committee Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists' Association in the new situation"; strengthen inspection and supervision of compliance with legal regulations on the press, build a cultural environment in press agencies towards the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day June 21 (1925 - 2025), the congress of the Journalists' Association for the term 2025 - 2030.
In addition, the Journalists Association of the 6 North Central provinces continues to carry out digital transformation of journalism, apply artificial intelligence suitable to the conditions of each province and update modern media trends, diversify professional and technical activities; organize well press awards, publish professional special issues, exchange membership cards, admit new members, consider awarding the "For the cause of Vietnamese journalism" medal.
At the conference, the Journalists Association of the North Central provinces agreed on 10 important goals to be achieved in 2025. They focused on enhancing the leadership and coordination role in press activities in the area; strengthening inspection and supervision of compliance with the 2016 Press Law; 10 regulations on professional ethics and Rules for using social networks for Vietnamese journalists.
At the same time, closely coordinate with the provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications of localities in providing and guiding information for press agencies and journalist members to operate in accordance with their principles, purposes, and the law. Do a good job of fostering professional expertise for members, improving their professional skills, ethics, and mettle in the new situation. Perform well the role of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of local journalists.
At the conference, representatives of the leaders of the Journalists Association of 6 provinces in the North Central region signed a commitment to compete in 2025; participated in the conference to review and unanimously propose that the Vietnam Journalists Association award the Emulation Flag to the Journalists Association of Quang Tri province, and award Certificates of Merit to the Journalists Associations of Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa provinces.
