By growing specialty crops that produce delicious fruit, farmers earn billions of dong every year.

According to the leaders of the Son Binh Commune Farmers' Association, the unit has coordinated with relevant agencies to organize many propaganda campaigns, vocational training, and knowledge dissemination programs to improve farmers' skills in applying science and technology to production, creating conditions for farming households to engage in production and business. In particular, they have guided farmers in switching from low-yield crops to high-value economic crops.
According to farmer Dao Van Thuc (Son Binh commune, Khanh Son district, Khanh Hoa province ), this year his family harvested nearly 4 hectares of durian, yielding over 50 tons. With a market price of 80,000 VND/kg, the revenue reached 4 billion VND, resulting in a profit of approximately 3 billion VND after deducting expenses.
Mr. Thuc added that last year, with the same area, his family harvested 50 tons, but only sold it at 60,000 VND/kg, generating a revenue of 2.8 billion VND, and after deducting expenses, the profit was 2 billion VND.
Besides growing durian, his family also runs a swiftlet farming business to supplement their income. With a swiftlet house covering over 300 square meters, after thorough research and investment, it generated over 150 million VND in income last year and is considered a promising model in the locality.
Mr. Thuc also regularly participates in movements launched by the association and shares durian tree care techniques with local farmers.

Cao Đảm, a 70-year-old farmer from Sơn Bình commune, Khánh Sơn district, is considered a prime example in the movement for excellent production and business, solidarity in helping each other get rich, and learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology.

The model of weakening the Sơn Bình commune is currently considered promising.
Mr. Cao Dam said that if one wants to teach their children or guide farmers in developing the economy, they must first be a role model and a person of prestige so that others will see and learn from them.
Previously, his family grew coffee, but it wasn't profitable, so they switched to growing durian. With an area of nearly 3 hectares, he earned 1.2 billion VND, and after deducting expenses, his profit was nearly 800 million VND.
This model has helped stabilize the family's economy. Seeing the effectiveness of his durian farming model, many Raglai ethnic minority households have followed his experience to learn how to do business.
