On the evening of July 23, the University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) officially announced the minimum score for university admission in 2025.
Specifically, the input threshold for the two methods includes: method 2 considers the results of the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City National University capacity assessment exam and method 3 considers the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Accordingly, the threshold to ensure input quality (excluding bonus points and priority points) with the competency assessment exam score is 720/1,200 for all majors. For the microchip design major, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 195 in math.
With the admission method of considering the results of the high school graduation exam, the threshold to ensure input quality (excluding bonus points and priority points), applied to all admission combinations is 22 for all majors. For the microchip design major, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 6.5 in math.
Previously, the University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) expected the minimum score for the 2025 high school graduation exam for all majors to be from 22.5 to 24 points and the minimum score for the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam to be 700. Thus, the school's official minimum score has been adjusted lower than expected. However, compared to 2024, the minimum score for the competency assessment exam will increase by 20 points, from 700 in 2024 to 720 this year.
