On the morning of April 3rd, Thanh Hoa Power Company held a ceremony to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Ham Rong Power Plant and Thanh Hoa Power Company.

Sixty years ago (April 4, 1964), the Ham Rong Power Plant was officially inaugurated with the support of Hungary. This was the largest thermal power plant in Thanh Hoa province at the time, marking the development of the electricity sector in Thanh Hoa. It provided Thanh Hoa with a large power source, supplying electricity for agricultural production and industrial facilities in the province, as well as lighting Thanh Hoa town and several neighboring districts. Throughout its 60-year journey of construction and development, overcoming many difficulties and challenges, the staff and workers of Thanh Hoa Power Company have always worked together diligently, fostering a spirit of learning, innovation, and creativity, achieving many accomplishments linked to the glorious history of the country throughout various historical periods.
Over 60 years of development and growth, Thanh Hoa Power Company, which started with only 410 cadres, engineers, and workers, now has a total of over 1,500 cadres, employees, and workers. From 2010 to the present, with a dynamic, creative, and sustainable development approach, demonstrating the responsibility of the power sector towards the socio -economic development of Thanh Hoa province, Thanh Hoa Power Company has implemented the directives and development orientations of Vietnam Electricity Group and Northern Power Corporation, gradually modernizing the power grid to improve the reliability of electricity supply; building a professional business environment to improve the quality of business operations and customer service; promoting the application of information technology and digital transformation, etc., to enhance efficiency in production and business. It has also increased investment in upgrading and expanding the power grid to ensure electricity supply and meet the socio-economic development requirements of the locality.
On the occasion of the anniversary celebration, Comrade Do Trong Hung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Comrade Mai Xuan Liem, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented Thanh Hoa Power Company with a banner from the Provincial People's Committee bearing the inscription: "Unity, responsibility, innovation, and creativity for the socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa province."

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Xuan Liem and General Director of the Northern Power Corporation Nguyen Duc Thien extended their best wishes to the Thanh Hoa power sector and expressed their sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Industry and Trade; the ministries, departments, and central agencies; the Vietnam Electricity Group and the Northern Power Corporation for their attention and support to the development of the power sector in Thanh Hoa province in general, and Thanh Hoa Power Company in particular, over the years. They also hoped to continue receiving attention, support, and favorable conditions for the sustainable development of the Thanh Hoa power grid infrastructure, best serving the industrialization and modernization of the province.
General Director of Northern Power Corporation Nguyen Duc Thien delivered a speech at the anniversary ceremony.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Thien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and General Director of the Northern Power Corporation, emphasized: With the potential and advantages of Thanh Hoa province, the Politburo has issued Resolution No. 58, dated August 5, 2020, on building and developing Thanh Hoa province until 2030, with a vision to 2045, with the goal of striving to be among the leading provinces nationwide by 2025 - a new growth pole, together with Hanoi, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh, forming a development quadrilateral in the North of the country; and by 2030 becoming a modern industrial province with a higher standard of living for its people than the national average.
To achieve this goal, the comrades suggested that Thanh Hoa Power Company should proactively coordinate closely with relevant departments, agencies, and units to advise Party committees and authorities at all levels on effectively implementing the task of ensuring energy security in the province. They also emphasized the need to continue upholding the spirit of solidarity, striving diligently, constantly innovating management practices, promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation, and improving the productivity, quality, and efficiency of production and business operations; especially in the investment and construction of transmission grid projects, ensuring the safety of high-voltage power line corridors, and promoting electricity conservation.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the General Director of the Northern Power Corporation expressed their confidence that the outstanding achievements after 60 years of construction, growth, and development will be a great driving force for Thanh Hoa Power Company to overcome all difficulties and challenges, successfully fulfill its tasks, and live up to the fine traditions of its industry and the trust of the Party Committee, government, and people of Thanh Hoa province.
