On March 19, 2025, at Thong Binh Border Guard Station (Thong Binh commune, Tan Hong district, Dong Thap province), Song Trang Border Guard Station (under the Long An Border Guard Command) and Thong Binh Border Guard Station (under the Dong Thap Border Guard Command) held a conference to sign an agreement on border protection and adjacent areas between the two units in 2025.
In 2024, the two units coordinated closely and regularly in border protection work, ensuring that the adjacent area was always under tight control without any loopholes or omissions; they effectively resolved emerging incidents, ensuring that no hotspots or complex situations formed in the adjacent border area. In addition, the two adjacent border control stations also cooperated closely in border management and protection.
At the conference, the two units frankly pointed out existing shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome in the coming time and exchanged and agreed on the key tasks of coordinated work in managing and protecting the border and adjacent areas in 2025, which are to strengthen and promote border and area management and protection activities, actively and effectively combat and prevent enemy and target activities, and maintain political security and social order in the border area.
Simultaneously, coordinate patrols to protect the adjacent border section; promptly and effectively notify and resolve related incidents along the border section and adjacent areas, and combat all types of crime. Regularly coordinate inspections and evaluations of task performance between the two units each month, while maintaining the cooperation plan in accordance with regulations.
