Statistics from the Steering Committee for the Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Tuyen Quang Province show that nearly 30 billion VND has been donated by agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals.
On January 16th, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Steering Committee for the Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Tuyen Quang Province held a ceremony to launch a fundraising campaign for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that this is an important political task for the province, requiring the determined and decisive participation of all levels, sectors, agencies, and units from the province to the grassroots; effectively promoting the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other political and social organizations, and the people to care for the people and the vulnerable, upholding the national tradition of "mutual support".

The Provincial Party Secretary requested that functional departments and authorities from the provincial to the grassroots level focus decisively on achieving the province's goal of eliminating more than 6,000 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households by the end of 2025. Departments and agencies need to promote a spirit of self-awareness, emphasize the role of leaders, and clearly define responsibilities to effectively implement this important social welfare program.

According to the Steering Committee's statistical report, during the period 2021-2024, the entire province supported the elimination of over 7,000 temporary and dilapidated houses. In 2025, Tuyen Quang province aims to eliminate 6,928 temporary and dilapidated houses; including 4,525 households building new houses and 2,403 households renovating their houses; the estimated funding required is over 343 billion VND.

To date, Tuyen Quang province has established provincial, district, and commune-level steering committees for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province, and has developed regulations for the operation of these committees; and a plan for the implementation of the work to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.
Speaking with a reporter from Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: "The goal of ensuring a prosperous and happy family is the objective in the province's comprehensive socio -economic development strategy. Tuyen Quang always identifies poverty eradication as a strategic, long-term, and ongoing task; it is one of the important criteria for evaluating the implementation of social security policies; gradually supporting the poor and those in difficult circumstances, creating sustainable livelihoods to motivate all poor people to strive for a prosperous and peaceful life."

To strive to complete more than 6,000 houses by 2025, Tuyen Quang province is continuing to strengthen the Party and State's major policies and guidelines on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. "Everyone contributes what they can, everyone contributes their labor, everyone contributes their resources, everyone contributes what they have, everyone contributes what they have" to complete the support for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for families of revolutionary martyrs, poor households, and near-poor households in Tuyen Quang province before September 2nd, 2025.
On the morning of January 16th, following the launching ceremony, the Steering Committee reported that nearly 30 billion VND had been contributed by agencies, organizations, businesses, individuals, and philanthropists in the province.
Mr. Nguyen Hung Vuong, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, said: "Although the province still faces many difficulties, the nearly 30 billion VND donated at the launching ceremony demonstrates the high spirit of solidarity of the entire political system, the people, businesses, etc. The Steering Committee is committed to using the fund transparently, for the right purpose and for the right beneficiaries; ensuring that 100% of poor households in the province will no longer have temporary or dilapidated houses by 2025."
