Pepper price increased by 500-3,000 VND/kg on August 23

(GLO)- Today (August 23), domestic pepper prices continued to increase by 500-3,000 VND/kg. Purchase prices in key markets fluctuated between 142,500-146,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, in Gia Lai province, pepper had the lowest price increase of 500 VND/kg, currently at 142,500 VND/kg. Also increasing by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, pepper in Dak Lak province and Ho Chi Minh City is priced at 145,000 VND/kg and 144,000 VND/kg respectively.

Particularly in Lam Dong and Dong Nai provinces, pepper prices increased sharply by 3,000 VND/kg, raising the purchasing price to 146,000 VND/kg and 144,000 VND/kg.

In the world , pepper prices today do not fluctuate much. Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia is fixed at 7,154 USD/ton; while the price of Muntok white pepper remains at 10,001 USD/ton.

The price of Kuching ASTA black pepper from Malaysia is currently at 9,600 USD/ton; the price of ASTA white pepper from this country is 12,800 USD/ton. For the Brazilian market, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper is trading at 5,850 USD/ton.

For Vietnam, black pepper 500g/l is traded at 6,240 USD/ton, 550g/l is at 6,370 USD/ton; and white pepper is at 8,950 USD/ton.
