Due to the influence of the circulation of Typhoon No. 10, many areas in Ha Tinh province have been deeply flooded, including Kim Hoa, Duc Quang, and Duc Minh communes, some hamlets in Bac Hong Linh ward, and Nghi Xuan commune. Because of the deep floodwaters and slow receding, many schools in Ha Tinh have not yet been able to welcome students back. Kim Hoa Kindergarten and Kim Hoa Primary School (Kim Hoa commune, Ha Tinh province) are located in low-lying areas and frequently suffer severe consequences from floods. After the water receded, the Huong Son area Fire and Rescue Team ( thuộc the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Ha Tinh province), along with the Kim Hoa commune police and all the school's teachers, worked to repair the damage and welcome students back to class. At Kim Hoa Kindergarten (Kim Hoa commune), remediation efforts are being urgently implemented to prepare for the return of children to school after a long period of absence due to floods. At Lien Minh Primary School (Duc Minh commune), the scene was chaotic after the storm and subsequent flooding. On October 4th, militia forces, youth union members, and police officers from Duc Minh commune, in coordination with teachers, continued their cleanup efforts, sanitizing and cleaning the school premises.
According to statistics, 16 schools in the area were flooded and have not yet been able to welcome students back. It is expected that these schools will resume normal classes early next week. Following the principle of "cleaning up as soon as the floodwaters recede," schools in flood-affected areas are urgently cleaning up to welcome students back as soon as possible. In Duc Minh commune, seven schools were flooded, including three kindergartens, three primary schools, and one secondary school. Currently, authorities are coordinating efforts to clean up the grounds, wiping down desks, chairs, and classrooms.
To share the difficulties and support the local community in quickly stabilizing the situation after the natural disaster, officers and soldiers of the Mobile Police Unit of the Ha Tinh Provincial Police Department came to help Xuan Hong Kindergarten in Nghi Xuan commune overcome the consequences of the floods. The officers and soldiers actively participated in clearing mud and debris, cleaning the grounds, wiping down and rearranging equipment and learning materials to ensure a safe and clean environment before welcoming students back to school.
Youth forces, police, and militia are all participating in assisting with cleanup and recovery efforts at schools, hoping to welcome students back soon after the storm.
