A large fire broke out at around midnight on July 19 at Lane 389, Truong Dinh Street, Hanoi . The flames rose high, accompanied by a large column of smoke, covering the factory area, causing panic among many residents in the area.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters at the scene, at nearly 2:00 a.m. the same day, many people gathered at the entrance of alley 389 Truong Dinh to watch the fire.
Upon receiving the news, the Hanoi Fire Prevention and Rescue Police, in coordination with other relevant agencies, quickly arrived at the scene. Many fire trucks and officers and soldiers were mobilized to carry out firefighting and rescue operations.
Speaking to Lao Dong, Ms. Hoa, a witness at the scene, said that at around 11:50 p.m., she heard a loud explosion and discovered flames breaking out from a warehouse near her house.
According to Ms. Hoa, the area where the fire occurred was previously a company specializing in supplying vegetables and fruits, and is currently being rented out as a warehouse.
People living near the area where the fire broke out said that this is an area where people often park their cars overnight. When the fire broke out, many people shouted and quickly moved their cars out of the danger zone to ensure safety.
At 2am, the fire was still raging and had not been controlled.
