Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Veterans Association has focused on leading and directing the comprehensive implementation of many important directives and resolutions of the Central Government and the province. Notable among these are Directive No. 05-CT/TW on studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh; Resolutions 4 of the 12th and 13th Central Committees on Party building and rectification; and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. Through these efforts, the political ideology, awareness, and responsibility of cadres and members have been significantly enhanced, making an important contribution to maintaining political stability and strengthening public trust.
Alongside political and ideological work, the Veterans' Association at all levels in the province actively grasps the thoughts and aspirations of its members and the people; proactively advises and coordinates the timely resolution of issues arising at the grassroots level, especially during the implementation of the model of government organization and the Fatherland Front after the merger of administrative units. In the face of the complex developments of natural disasters, particularly the recent Typhoon No. 5, the Association promptly disseminated information, mobilized, and guided the people to respond effectively, minimizing damage caused by the storm.
A prominent highlight of the Association's activities is the close connection between patriotic emulation movements and the local political tasks. From the beginning of 2025 to the present, many meaningful activities have been organized extensively and effectively. Specifically, the Veterans Association at all levels in the province organized seminars and revolutionary tradition education sessions for 3,850 students and youth union members; 1,067 members performed cultural shows and participated in ceremonies to commemorate fallen heroes; and over 3,400 veteran members participated in environmental sanitation campaigns, responding to the "Green Sunday" movement. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd (1945-2025), the Veterans Association in the province visited and presented gifts to pre-revolution cadres, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and members in difficult circumstances in the province, with a total value of over 357 million VND.
During the opening of the 2025-2026 school year, over 1,000 war veterans across the province volunteered to ensure traffic safety at 215 school gates. This is a highly humane activity, demonstrating the sense of responsibility of war veterans towards the future generation. Notable examples of such activities include: Dam Ha commune, Co To special zone, Bai Chay ward, Cam Pha ward, Dong Trieu ward, etc.

Not only are they at the forefront of social work, but the Veterans' Associations at all levels in the province are also a core force in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level. The province currently has more than 2,400 "People's Self-Management Teams for Security and Order" with veterans as the core members. Models such as "Safe Traffic at School Gates," "Model Roads," "Residential Area Fire Prevention and Fighting Teams," and "Education and Rehabilitation of Offenders" are maintained and expanded, contributing to building safe and healthy residential areas. In the first nine months of 2025, 3,460 veteran members participated in intensive campaigns to combat and suppress crime, ensuring political security and social order throughout the province.
In the context of the nationwide push for digital transformation, the Provincial Veterans Association has also proactively participated with the "Digital Literacy Program," organizing training for 1,186 officials and members on social media usage, cashless payments, and protecting personal information in cyberspace. This knowledge not only helps members improve their life skills in the digital age but also spreads to their families and communities, gradually narrowing the digital divide in society.
In addition, educational support models have been effectively implemented, such as the "Helping Students Go to School" program, the "Ball for Children" program, providing scholarships and sports equipment to poor students in disadvantaged areas, contributing to motivating and inspiring their dreams to excel in their studies.
In preparation for the Veterans Association Congress at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, the Provincial Veterans Association proactively organized training conferences for the chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of the associations in communes, wards, and special zones; conducted personnel consultations, planned the Executive Committee, and consolidated the association's organization and affiliated units in accordance with regulations. The Association also sent a delegation of officials to attend a specialized training conference on environmental protection, food safety and hygiene, and rural clean water organized by the Central Veterans Association – a practical content closely linked to the goal of building advanced and model new rural areas in the province.
With unwavering political resolve, a high sense of responsibility, exemplary conduct, and close engagement with the grassroots, the Quang Ninh Provincial Veterans Association continues to affirm its role as a core force in coordinating the implementation of political tasks, contributing to building a more prosperous, civilized, and modern homeland.
