The 1st Conference of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, term 2020

BTO - On the afternoon of February 24th, the Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, term 2020-2025, held its first meeting. Comrade Phan Van Dang – Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee – chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were Comrade Nguyen Minh – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and other members of the Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee.

The Party Committee of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan Province was established according to Decision No. 2162 dated February 11, 2025, of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and officially took effect on February 14, 2025. At the time of establishment, the Party Committee consisted of 39 grassroots Party organizations with 4,135 Party members. The functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of the province are implemented according to the regulations of the Central Party Secretariat. Accordingly, the Party Committee of the People's Committee of the province has four advisory and support agencies: the Organization Department; the Inspection Committee; the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; and the Party Committee Office.

At the first meeting, the Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee discussed and agreed on the following contents: Draft Work Program of the Standing Committee and Party Committee for 2025; Announcement of the assignment of tasks to the Standing Committee, members of the Standing Committee, and members of the Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; Draft Decisions on the acceptance of grassroots Party organizations; establishment of grassroots Party branches in the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee Office and grassroots Party branches in newly established departments and agencies; Draft Working Regulations of the Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and Draft Working Regulations of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Concluding the conference, Comrade Phan Van Dang - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee - acknowledged the thorough and serious preparation of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee regarding the content of the first conference. Emphasizing the scale and importance of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, Comrade Phan Van Dang requested that the members of the Party Committee uphold their spirit and responsibility to successfully complete their assigned tasks. In particular, he urged them to focus on consolidating grassroots Party organizations, especially those following mergers; and on that basis, to lead and direct units to implement their work effectively. At the same time, he called for the successful organization and direction of the Party branch and Party committee congresses under the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee.

Comrade Phan Van Dang - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered a speech at the conference.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee also noted that during the implementation of the working regulations of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, there will be information and exchanges to adjust the regulations to suit the practical situation.

Immediately after the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee requested the Party Committee's departments and offices to incorporate the feedback, supplement and finalize the draft in order to implement the tasks as prescribed.
