Urgently overcome landslides on National Highway 15D

This morning, July 8, information from the La Lay International Border Guard Station, Quang Tri province said that traffic on National Highway 15D towards the border gate is currently cut off due to a landslide.

Earlier on the afternoon of July 7th, at kilometer 8+900 on National Highway 15D, a large amount of soil and rocks slid down onto the road, causing a complete traffic blockage.

The cause is believed to be that the local traffic construction unit is currently leveling the mountain at one of the 11 curves being widened on the route.

Immediately after the incident occurred, the authorities and the construction unit quickly arrived at the scene, setting up checkpoints at both ends to ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles.

At the same time, machinery and personnel are being urgently deployed to clear the debris, with the determination to reopen the road as soon as possible.
