Ms. Vo Thi Trang, Head of the La Van Ha Village Association (Quang Dien Commune Women's Union) is a model of a woman who dares to think, dares to do, and is committed to the grassroots women's movement. As the Head of the An Thinh Phat Garment Association, Ms. Trang has gradually built an effective economic model, creating stable jobs for more than 40 women members, with an income of 6 to 10 million VND/month.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham, a member of the An Thinh Phat Garment Association, said: Thanks to joining the association, I have a job and a stable income. Working close to home, I have more time to take care of my family. Since working with Ms. Trang, I have also been more active in local women's movements and activities.

Ms. Trang's sewing facility was established in 2020. From her experience working in a sewing company, she boldly borrowed capital to buy machinery and equipment to open a sewing workshop. Working hard to start a business, earning profits, Ms. Trang's sewing workshop has been expanding day by day, now fully equipped with modern machinery, from cutting machines, sewing machines... specializing in receiving large-scale orders for uniforms and export goods.

“Not only do I want to develop my family’s economy, when the sewing facility is stable and growing, I always want to create stable jobs for the women, so that everyone has an income, joy and more confidence in life. When life is better, the women also actively participate in the movements and activities of the association,” Ms. Trang shared.

If Ms. Trang is an example of a dynamic rural woman in the plains, then in the mountainous area of A Luoi (old A Luoi district), Ms. Ho Thi Nga, Director of A Luoi Clean Agricultural Products Cooperative, is a typical image of a creative and courageous highland woman in the digital transformation period.

Under the leadership of Ms. Nga, the Cooperative has grown strongly, bringing to the market many products with typical local brands such as black sticky rice, green banana noodles, chili bamboo shoots, dwarf bananas, pickled chili... along with many types of medicinal herbs and clean agricultural products of A Luoi, which have been welcomed by consumers inside and outside the city.

Ms. Nga confided: “Clean agriculture is not only for economic development but also a way to preserve the values of the homeland. I always encourage women in the cooperative to learn new technology and apply digital transformation to bring their products closer to consumers.”

Not only focusing on production, she also actively participates in training courses organized by the City Women's Union, spreading the spirit of learning and improving digital transformation capacity for female members in mountainous areas.

Dynamic, compassionate, confident integration

According to Ms. Tran Thi Kim Loan, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Hue City Women's Union, the emulation movement "Building Vietnamese Women of the New Era" is not just a formal campaign, but has truly created a profound change in the awareness and actions of women throughout the city, from urban to rural and mountainous areas.

“Women in Hue city today are not only good at national affairs and housework, but are also pioneers in innovation, digital transformation, green startups and spreading Hue cultural values. They are the ones who are contributing to affirming the mettle, intelligence and unique qualities of Hue women in the new era,” Ms. Loan emphasized.

In order for each member to be aware of the importance and necessity of the movement and to take specific actions that are appropriate for themselves and the reality of each locality, the City Women's Union has actively organized propaganda and training on the emulation movement. To date, more than 223,000 members have been propagandized and trained on the emulation movement; more than 114,000 women have been instructed on skills to build brands and do business on digital platforms. Hundreds of women's start-up models, cooperatives and cooperatives owned by women have been making a clear mark in local socio-economic development.

From urban to rural areas, from plains to mountains, the image of Hue women today is not only associated with gentleness and kindness but also carries within them the spirit of integration, courage and aspiration to rise up. They constantly learn, innovate, adapt to technology and globalization trends; at the same time, still preserve traditional values and cultural beauty typical of Hue people.

Along with economic development, women across the city have also made a deep impression in social activities, volunteering and the "Green Living" movement. From 2022 to now, the Women's Union at all levels has awarded more than 10,000 Nguyen Thi Dinh scholarships with a total value of nearly 4 billion VND to poor children. The "Godmother" program launched by the Central Women's Union has received strong response. The whole city has nearly 900 orphans and children in special circumstances sponsored by Women's Unions at all levels, with a total budget of more than 7 billion VND.

Environmental protection activities and green lifestyle building are also maintained regularly: More than 300,000 women members participate in campaigns such as "Green Sunday", "60 minutes to clean up houses and beautiful alleys", beautifying 22,776 streets in the city. Many models of "Women's flower streets", "Women's association without plastic waste", "Recycling for the community" have become bright spots spreading the spirit of green - clean - beautiful in each residential area.
