The exhibition is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, aiming to promote the role of the museum in propaganda, education of historical and cultural traditions and community connection, while expressing deep gratitude for the contributions of heroes and martyrs.
The exhibition takes place from July 16 to August 10, introducing 78 sketches by martyrs and artists who directly participated in the battle at Zone V battlefield. Many valuable works on display this time are by martyr-artist Ha Xuan Phong and the late artist Nguyen Duc Hanh.
The sketches, though simple and plain, are vivid, realistically depicting the hardships of soldiers on the front lines and the heroic moments in the flames of war. These are also real experiences, vivid pages of history that demonstrate the heroic fighting spirit.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoi An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, shared that through 78 sketches by artists who directly participated in the battle at the Zone V battlefield, the exhibition has brought a simple yet profound artistic space.
Each sketch is like a piece of memory, a slice of history, marking life on the battlefield, where patriotism, courage and the desire for peace are movingly expressed.
Choosing to hold the exhibition at the Vietnam Heroic Mother Monument complex - a beautiful symbol of the silent sacrifice of Vietnamese mothers, further highlights the spiritual values that the exhibition aims for: respect, gratitude, remembrance and national pride.
