On October 26, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tang Nhon Phu Ward (HCMC) held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030.

Attending and giving a directive speech, Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, praised and congratulated the achievements of the Fatherland Front and political and social organizations of Tang Nhon Phu ward.

Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh presented flowers to congratulate the congress and handed over a symbolic check of 300 million VND to support the social welfare activities of the ward.

Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh remarked that the next term is of great significance, as it marks the country's entry into a new era. In this new era, the political system, including the Vietnam Fatherland Front, will operate under a new model: a two-tiered local government model requiring a streamlined, efficient, effective, and effective administration; the government must be closer to the people, understand their needs, and serve them better.

This requires the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to innovate their methods, improve the quality and effectiveness of their activities in gathering and uniting the people, creating consensus and working together in solidarity to build the locality.

Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh delivered a speech guiding the congress.

The comrade analyzed that with over 200,000 inhabitants and a large area, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the ward needs to make significant changes in its methods of operation, and must have appropriate models and approaches to gather and promote the great national unity. At the same time, it must change its mindset in mobilizing the people.

"The Fatherland Front should not only mobilize support but also serve and accompany the people and businesses to develop," Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh emphasized.

Furthermore, the Front should better fulfill its representative function, focusing on improving the quality and effectiveness of supervision and criticism through the selection of supervision content and participants. Following supervision and criticism, scientifically- founded and practically valuable proposals and recommendations should be made.

In particular, the content and methods of operation must closely adhere to reality and thoroughly understand the needs and aspirations of the people. In all activities, there must be a shift from "formal movements" to "substantive movements" that yield clear results, have a significant impact, and bring practical benefits to the people.

Comrade Truong Thi Bich Hanh and other delegates expressed their support for people affected by storms and floods in overcoming the consequences.

Over the past period, the ward has mobilized resources to implement 42 public works projects (100% funded by people's contributions) with a total value of 3.9 billion VND ; and mobilized 5,000 Tet gifts worth 3 billion VND for the near-poor and disadvantaged. Sustainable poverty reduction efforts have achieved many results, such as They built 30 charitable houses , donated 8 savings accounts, 1,760 health insurance cards, and spent nearly 4 billion VND caring for vulnerable people.

For the 2025-2030 term, the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Tang Nhon Phu Ward has set 9 specific targets, including striving to continue maintaining and effectively operating the online propaganda page; and striving to build and have over 70% of neighborhoods recognized each year as meeting the criteria of clean, green, and environmentally friendly…

The congress elected 67 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward; Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh was elected Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tang Nhon Phu ward for the new term.
