Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued Document No. 13330/UBND-NN requesting to strengthen control and prevent the situation of illegal trading and transportation of livestock across the border, which is becoming more complicated. For border communes, localities must review and accurately count the livestock of each household, provide it to the Border Guard Station for coordination and monitoring; absolutely do not falsely confirm the origin of livestock and take responsibility if there is any legalization of animals of unknown origin.

The remaining localities must strengthen inspection and strictly handle cases of trafficking and transporting animals and animal products suspected of being smuggled. The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Nghe An province is assigned to closely monitor dangerous diseases, promptly detect and control when there are signs of infection.
The police, border guards, customs, border gate quarantine and the Department of Industry and Trade of Nghe An province coordinate to control the market, patrol at border gates, trails and openings; and prevent violations early. Departments and branches also step up propaganda and warn people not to participate in livestock smuggling.
