VitaJean applies green technology to reduce carbon emissions

Faced with strict requirements from partners on greening the supply chain, Viet Thang Jean has converted 100% to applying green technology.

In order to export goods to demanding markets such as Europe and the US, the requirement for green production is very high. Therefore, Viet Thang Jean Company Limited (VitaJean) has focused on restructuring investment, applying green technology, investing in a production line of 10,000 complete products at a cost of 12.5 million USD, 8 times higher than a normal line; pioneering the application of 4.0 technology in Denim production towards a circular economy , efficient use of resources and sustainable consumption.

The company has applied the most advanced technologies today to create unique and exclusive patterns and designs, pioneering the use of OZENE technology to replace traditional bleach to help create natural multi-colors on the fabric surface, increase fabric durability, and save 40% water.

Mr. Pham Van Viet, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viet Thang Jean Co., Ltd. said, “We have invested in 4.0 technology such as 3D design, automatic cutting machines, smart warehouses and green solutions such as water circulation systems and ozone machines. Thereby, the Company has reduced carbon emissions from 54 kg to less than 38 kg/product, meeting the EU's carbon limit adjustment mechanism (CBAM), expected to be applied from 2026. In addition, blockchain has been integrated into the supply chain to make information about the origin of raw materials transparent. Each product is attached with a QR code, providing detailed data on carbon emissions, helping to meet the standards of markets such as the EU, US, Australia, Canada, and Korea.”

Modern machinery and technology such as laser technology to create effects on the fabric surface, nano dyeing technology, and Turkish washing and rinsing technology help Viet Thang Jean achieve Oeko-Tex certification, which is a confirmation of the ecological and human safety of textile and leather products, from all stages of production along the textile value chain.
