On May 23-24, the Ninh Binh Border Guard Command and the Ninh Binh Provincial Women's Union, in coordination with the Lao Cai Provincial Women's Union and the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard Command, organized the "Accompanying Women in Border Areas" program in 2024 in A Lu border commune, Bat Xat district.

At the program, delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate and present the "Lighting Up the Border Region" power line project, a 2.5 km long line with a total of 42 solar-powered streetlights worth 124 million VND in three villages: Ngai Thau Ha, Phin Chai, and Seo Phin; commenced the construction of a 450 m long concrete road in Ngai Cho and Phin Chai villages; presented 100 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to disabled women members with particularly difficult circumstances and poor students who have overcome difficulties in A Lu commune; and visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of the Y Ty Border Guard Post. The total value of gifts in the "Accompanying Women in Border Areas" program in 2024 is worth more than 300 million VND.

Delegates participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the concrete road named "The Bond Between Soldiers and Civilians".
The "Accompanying Women in Border Areas" program aims to inspire women's aspirations; create support and motivation for women and people in mountainous and border regions to overcome difficulties and improve their lives; and contribute to the border guard's efforts to firmly protect national sovereignty and border security. During the period 2021-2024, the "Accompanying Women in Border Areas" program in A Lu commune received support from the Ninh Binh Border Guard Command and the Ninh Binh Provincial Women's Union to construct facilities in A Lu commune with a total value of 643.5 million VND.
