Female Department Director asked to retire more than 3 years early

(NLDO) - Head of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission and Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Thai Nguyen province have applied for early retirement.

On January 2, according to information from the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, Mr. Pham Thai Hanh, Head of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee and Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Huong, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Thai Nguyen province, applied for early retirement.

Accordingly, Mr. Pham Thai Hanh voluntarily retired more than 1 year before the age; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Huong voluntarily retired more than 3 years before the age.

According to the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, these are exemplary cadres and party members of the province in responding to and supporting the work of reorganizing and streamlining the apparatus with specific and practical actions. Thereby, to create favorable conditions for Thai Nguyen province in reorganizing and streamlining the apparatus in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee.

Also according to the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province, implementing Resolution No. 18, after 7 years, Thai Nguyen province has reduced 3 units directly under the Provincial Party Committee; reduced 56 units directly under agencies, units and 281 leaders at department, division and equivalent levels of the Party agencies, People's Committee, People's Council, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at provincial and district levels; reduced 3,232 provincial and district-level staff (down 10.6%); reduced 25,681 part-time workers at commune, village and residential group levels (down 57.1%).

The total reduction in state budget expenditure due to restructuring the apparatus and streamlining the payroll of Thai Nguyen province from 2015 to December 2021 is over 200 billion VND; from 2022 to present, Thai Nguyen province has continued to reduce 2,224 payrolls at the provincial and district levels.
