The conference conducted a vote of confidence for the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial War Veterans Association for the 2025-2030 term; approved the Central Association's guidance on planning key personnel resources; and evaluated the performance results in July 2025.
Currently, Lam Dong province has more than 63,200 members in more than 2,700 branches of 126 Association bases. In July, the Association at all levels focused on political education, grasping the aspirations of members, maintaining the living order and taking care of members' lives.
On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Association of War Veterans at all levels presented more than 1,100 gifts with a total value of over 340 million VND to war invalids, sick soldiers and families of policy beneficiaries.
Along with that, the Provincial Association of War Veterans has completed the Emulation and Reward Council, established 10 emulation clusters for the period 2022 - 2027, and continued to effectively maintain patriotic emulation movements and models.
However, the Association's activities still face difficulties such as large area, sharp decrease in grassroots organizations, from 401 to 126 units, lack of grassroots staff and uneven capacity, and untimely additional funding.
At the conference, delegates discussed many important issues related to improving the organization and personnel; coordinating the elimination of temporary housing for members; developing the economy , reducing poverty sustainably; maintaining the activities of war veteran clubs...
Comrade Vu Cong Tien, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, Chairman of the Association of War Veterans of Lam Dong province, acknowledged the results achieved by all levels of the Association in July, especially maintaining activities in the new situation, developing the economy and taking care of the lives of members.
He suggested that in the coming time, the Association at all levels should continue to innovate, do well the political and ideological work among war veterans and the people; perfect the organization, build a strong staff; and improve the quality of activities at the grassroots level.
At the same time, promote the emulation movement of exemplary war veterans, respond to the peak of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; establish a model of war veterans doing appropriate and effective economic activities in the province.
