In her opening remarks at the conference, the Party Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of the People's Representatives Newspaper, Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, emphasized that throughout its 36-year journey of development, despite its ups and downs, the People's Representatives Newspaper has affirmed its unique identity and position in the journalistic world, especially since the newspaper was upgraded and renamed on August 27, 2009, according to Resolution 816 of the Standing Committee of the 12th National Assembly. This is an important milestone, affirming the newspaper's new position and prestige.
Comrade Pham Thi Minh Xuan, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, attended the conference.
Over the past 15 years, in various capacities: Chairman of the National Assembly, General Secretary, President, and General Secretary, the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent four letters of encouragement and support to the People's Representatives Newspaper.
Bearing in mind the advice of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, Editor-in-Chief Pham Thi Thanh Huyen affirmed that the staff of the People's Representatives Newspaper is committed to continuously striving, innovating, and improving the content and methods of presentation, with the motto of turning challenges into opportunities for breakthroughs, building a team of journalists with "bright minds, sharp pens" with the mission of being the voice of the National Assembly, the forum of National Assembly deputies, People's Councils, and voters nationwide.

In response to new development requirements, the Editor-in-Chief of the People's Representatives Newspaper expects the genuine and dedicated contribution and intellect of its close collaborators – experts, scientists, elected representatives, and officials of the Offices of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Councils at all levels – to continue comprehensive development and live up to its mission of being "the voice of the National Assembly, the forum of National Assembly representatives, People's Councils, and voters."
At the conference, delegates and collaborators contributed many ideas and proposed solutions to improve the quality of news articles; they also suggested appropriate methods and measures to enhance the quality and effectiveness of collaborative publicity of the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man acknowledged, highly appreciated, and warmly commended the remarkable achievements that the People's Representatives Newspaper has attained over the past 35 years. Notably, successive generations of leaders, staff, reporters, editors, and employees of the newspaper have continuously inherited, developed, and successfully fulfilled its glorious mission as "the voice of the National Assembly, the forum for National Assembly representatives, People's Councils, and voters"; consolidating its organization and personnel, strengthening its infrastructure, and achieving remarkable growth in professional expertise and work quality.
The leaders of the People's Representatives Newspaper commended individuals who made positive contributions to informing and publicizing the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils.
The press has promptly informed and publicized the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations; reported on the activities of the National Assembly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, the National Assembly's agencies, agencies under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, and the activities of the National Assembly delegations and People's Councils at all levels.
The newspaper has comprehensively, promptly, objectively, and in-depth reflected the activities of the National Assembly in the areas of legislation, supervision, decision-making on important national issues, and foreign affairs, closely reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of voters and the people. At the same time, it has played a role in guiding public opinion, criticizing and combating erroneous ideologies and subversive activities against the Party and the State; and actively participating in the prevention and fight against corruption and negative practices.
The Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that, in order to meet the new requirements of the country and the demands of real life, the National Assembly has been proactively, "from early on," and "from afar," improving the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of its operations. Therefore, the People's Representatives Newspaper must undergo strong and more substantive reforms towards becoming increasingly synchronized, professional, modern, and effective.

The Chairman of the National Assembly requested the People's Representatives Newspaper to actively participate in the fight against corruption and negative phenomena; to combat manifestations of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation; to identify, encourage, and disseminate advanced models, good, creative, and effective methods; and to strongly awaken the spirit of patriotism and aspirations in building and defending the Fatherland...
Regarding local authorities, the Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that local leaders should pay more attention to information and communication work through local newspapers, along with dissemination through central news agencies and newspapers, especially the People's Representatives Newspaper, to help local governments share and learn from experiences and improve their operational skills.
On this occasion, the People's Representatives Newspaper awarded commendations to 3 collectives and 20 individual collaborators who have made positive contributions to informing and publicizing the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils, and have contributed to the building and development of the People's Representatives Newspaper.
