Attending the meeting were representatives from the Economic and Budget Committee; the Culture and Social Affairs Committee; the Legal Affairs Committee; the Urban Planning Committee; and representatives from various departments and agencies under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
Reporting to the delegation, the Secretary of the Party Committee of Thu Dau Mot Ward, Nguyen Thu Cuc, stated that Thu Dau Mot Ward was established by merging several old administrative units of Binh Duong Province, currently covering an area of 15.68 km² and with a population of nearly 88,200 people.
Currently, the Ward People's Council has 86 representatives, and its facilities are relatively well-equipped. Since officially implementing the two-tiered local government model, the ward has successfully held its first session on July 1, 2025, and passed 10 important resolutions related to consolidating the organizational structure of the People's Council and the People's Committee.

During the meeting, ward leaders raised several difficulties and obstacles in the operational process, such as differences in non-salary support policies between Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City, and the unclear mechanism for retaining the old system. They also requested the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to soon allocate the budget for the last six months of the year to implement the plan and issue internal procedures for handling administrative procedures to standardize the operation of the public administration system.
The ward also requested that city departments and agencies promptly advise the City People's Committee to issue internal procedures for handling administrative procedures to standardize the implementation of administrative procedures on the Administrative Procedure Resolution Information System...

During the meeting, representatives from various departments provided information and guidance to the specialized departments of the ward regarding some difficulties and obstacles encountered during their operations.
Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Huynh Thanh Nhan acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the ward's staff in the initial phase of operating the new government model. He requested relevant departments and agencies to support in resolving difficulties, and also noted that the ward should continue to review infrastructure, strengthen construction order management, promote the supervisory role of the People's Council, and improve the efficiency of the Public Administrative Center.
