During the meeting, voters requested increased resources and training to enhance the capacity of grassroots officials in implementing the two-tiered local government model; and investment in infrastructure and technological equipment to support management and administration, ensuring efficiency and avoiding overload at the commune level.
At the same time, voters proposed tightening market inspections and strictly punishing acts of producing and trading counterfeit and substandard goods, especially items that affect health such as medicines, dietary supplements, and cosmetics.
Voters are also interested in investment in transportation infrastructure, urban development, commerce, and services; as well as public works and basic healthcare facilities.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong acknowledged the efforts of the Party Committee and the government of Quang Ngai province in implementing the two-tiered local government model in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 18 of the Central Committee.
The comrade urged voters to continue supporting the major policies of the Party and the State; to promote the spirit of unity and responsibility, and to work together to build their homeland.
“With the tradition of a brave and resilient homeland, the unity and solidarity of the people, and the wise leadership and guidance of the Party committees and local authorities at all levels in the province, Quang Ngai will soon achieve the goal of boosting socio-economic development, narrowing the gap between regions, and bringing a better life to the people. This will contribute to bringing the country into a new era – an era of national progress,” Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong confidently stated.
On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2025), Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong presented 15 gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs, expressing deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of war invalids and martyrs in the struggle for national liberation and the protection of the Fatherland.
Also on the afternoon of July 8th, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong held a working session with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on the socio-economic development, national defense, and security situation of the locality.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, provided information on the province's socio-economic development in the first six months of 2025. The province's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 11.51%, ranking first out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide.
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding efforts and results of Quang Ngai province in socio-economic development, especially the initial effective implementation of the two-tiered local government model, contributing to streamlining the apparatus and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management at the local level.
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong requested that Quang Ngai province continue to pay attention to, support, and create favorable conditions for officials and civil servants from the former Kon Tum province who have been transferred to Quang Ngai to work, so that they can quickly stabilize their jobs and lives. At the same time, he requested that the locality fully and promptly implement all regimes and policies for retired officials and civil servants.
