▪ In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Phu My Dong Commune Party Committee (formed on the basis of merging 3 communes: My An, My Thang, My Tho) has achieved many positive results. Can you share the outstanding achievements?

In the 2020-2025 term, in the context of many advantages and difficulties intertwined, the local Party Committee, government and people have promoted the revolutionary tradition, united, and resolutely implemented synchronous solutions. Thanks to that, the main targets according to the Resolution of the 19th Congress of the 3 old communes have all been achieved and exceeded.
Notably, the average growth rate of production value in My Tho commune reached 11.74%; My An commune 13.52%; My Thang commune 11.29%. The indicators of average income per capita, budget revenue, education , health care... were all achieved; national defense and security remained stable.
Each achieved target not only reflects the economic transformation, but also proves that infrastructure has been improved, people's lives have been raised, and culture and society have developed. This is the solid foundation for Phu My Dong to enter the new term with a proactive and confident mindset.

▪ From those results, what lessons does the Commune Party Committee draw for leadership work in the coming period?

Through the practice of the 2020 - 2025 term, we have drawn 5 major experiences.
Firstly, maintaining true solidarity and unity within the Party. This is a prerequisite and an important, regular task, playing a decisive role in the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of all assigned tasks.
Second, properly implement the principles of democratic centralism, collective leadership, and individual responsibility; promote the spirit of self-criticism and criticism associated with the exemplary responsibility of cadres and party members, especially key leaders and heads.
Third, promote the great national unity bloc, at the same time promote the role of the Front and socio-political organizations in monitoring, social criticism, participating in giving opinions on Party building, government building, propaganda, mobilizing people to carry out emulation movements and local campaigns. At the same time, strengthen inspection, supervision and resolutely fight against corruption and negativity.
Fourth, build a team of exemplary, determined, and resolute cadres; dynamic, creative, daring to think, daring to do, and daring to take responsibility.
Fifth, identify key tasks and breakthroughs in annual socio-economic development, thereby promoting internal strength and promptly taking advantage of the attention and support of the Central Government and the province to implement programs and projects. Orientation for fast and sustainable development

▪ So in the 2025 - 2030 term, what are the major orientations and goals of the Party Committee, comrade?

In the 2025 - 2030 term, Phu My Dong commune will continue to promote the building of a clean and strong Party organization and political system; improve the leadership capacity, fighting strength of grassroots party organizations and the quality of party members. Along with that, promote the strength of great national unity, will and aspiration to rise up; promote innovation, creativity, digital transformation, green transformation; maximize the potential and advantages of the locality and mobilize all resources to serve investment and development.
Phu My Dong focuses on economic development associated with ensuring national defense and security; effectively solving social security issues and protecting the environment, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. By 2030, Phu My Dong commune strives to develop rapidly and sustainably, becoming a key economic commune with a growth rate higher than the average of the province.

▪ To realize the above goal, what key tasks has the commune set out?

Phu My Dong identifies four key tasks that need to be implemented quickly and effectively to promote socio-economic development.
That is, focusing on developing the processing and manufacturing industry based on the advantages of investing in developing Phu My Industrial Park, Phu My port, synchronous traffic infrastructure, abundant labor resources, etc. Along with that is developing the renewable energy industry and the new energy industry; supporting the formation of a renewable energy human resource training center of national and regional strategic importance in developing artificial intelligence and high technology, contributing to improving the competitiveness of the locality in particular and the province in general.
In the agricultural sector, the commune develops towards organic and clean agriculture, promoting the application of high technology in production, exploitation and aquaculture; at the same time, forming and improving the value chain from farming, production, processing to product distribution, creating a foundation for sustainable agriculture.
Phu My Dong also relies on the advantages of the sea space, combining the conservation of natural landscape values, biodiversity, to develop sea tourism, eco-tourism in Tra O lagoon area. The commune also develops more types of community tourism, experiencing the activities of Tan Phung fishing village, visiting the scenic spot of Vi Rong cape, the lighthouse and tourist attractions, services associated with the irrigation lake in the west of the commune. On the other hand, expanding synchronous traffic connections with local tourist routes, creating a tourist route throughout the eastern region of the province.
The commune promotes the building of a clean and strong Party and political system in all aspects to meet the requirements and tasks in the new period.
Phu My Dong identifies 4 breakthroughs. Specifically, creatively applying the resolutions of the Central and the province, creating momentum for socio-economic development, ensuring an open, transparent and safe administrative environment for investment and business activities, enhancing the competitiveness of the locality. Providing maximum support for investment in developing seaport services, logistics and sustainable trade development associated with the development of the tourism real estate market. Building and completing a synchronous socio-economic infrastructure system to meet development requirements; developing Phu My Dong into a key economic commune of the province. Upgrading the staff and civil servants to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period.
