In the first 6 months of 2025, the whole country in general and Dak Lak province in particular have focused on implementing the revolution of streamlining the organizational apparatus. At the same time, the entire political system still has to carry out the task of socio-economic development.
According to the assessment of the Provincial People's Committee, up to now, Dak Lak has basically ensured the progress of implementing the required tasks; the socio -economic situation has been maintained stably; most sectors and fields have achieved a good growth rate. The economic structure has been maintained and shifted in the right direction.

Accordingly, the economic growth rate (GRDP) is estimated at 7.14%. Total social investment capital mobilization is estimated at VND 28,643 billion (up 9.34% over the same period in 2024, equal to 38.9% of the plan (Plan) for 2025). Total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 6,965 billion. Total state budget revenue is estimated at VND 8,718 billion (up 32%, equal to 53.2% of the plan). Total export turnover is estimated at nearly 1.5 billion USD (up 37.16%, equal to 66.4% of the plan). Total retail sales of goods and service revenue is estimated at VND 92,874 billion (up 16.19%, equal to 51% of the plan).
In the first 6 months of the year, the province had 1,476 newly established enterprises (an increase of 53.6% over the same period last year, equal to 40% of the annual plan). As of June 30, 2025, the province had about 18,761 operating enterprises. Investment attraction has had positive changes, with 19 projects approved for investment, with a total capital of more than VND 9,689 billion.
Along with economic development, the province has paid attention to and directed the cultural and social fields in a timely manner. Social security work and care for people's lives, especially those of policy beneficiaries and the disadvantaged, have been fully implemented. National defense, security, and social order and safety have been ensured.
In particular, since the two-level local government model came into operation, communes/wards in the province have quickly completed their apparatus and operated stably. Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh, Chairman of Tuy Hoa Ward People's Committee, said that immediately after merging administrative units, the locality urgently deployed the arrangement of the apparatus and invested in and arranged equipment and working facilities...
Up to now, the units under the ward have been operating stably. To ensure timely processing of documents when organizations and individuals have needs, the ward People's Committee has assigned forces to be on duty and guide the submission of documents at the right place. As of July 10, there were nearly 350 documents sent to the ward's Public Administration Service Center, of which about 30% of the documents have been processed.

Despite the positive results, it must be frankly assessed that before the merger, the two provinces of Dak Lak (old) and Phu Yen (old) had slow economic growth rates. The results of implementing some key targets were lower than planned. Production and business activities encountered many difficulties. Although the disbursement rate of public investment capital has improved, it is still generally not up to standard. State management in some areas of land, minerals, environment, application of information technology, digital transformation, and administrative reform has changed but has not yet met the development requirements of the locality.

Not to mention, the forecast of the world and domestic situation from now until the end of the year, besides opportunities and advantages, there will also be many difficulties and great challenges. For Dak Lak province, after the merger, it has a large population, a large management area, and a strategic position in terms of security and defense. While the economic scale of the two localities before the merger was still small, many existing problems have not been resolved... will be a huge challenge in direction and management in the coming time. In particular, to complete the target of GRDP growth of 8% or more according to the plan, the GRDP growth rate in the last 6 months of the year must reach 8.64%. Therefore, the task from now until the end of the year is extremely heavy.
Therefore, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan requested departments, branches and localities to promote the achieved results, overcome existing shortcomings and limitations; speed up the implementation of tasks and solutions to complete and exceed the set goals and plans.
In particular, it is necessary to urgently stabilize the organization of agencies, units and localities after implementing the organizational arrangement; immediately complete functions, tasks and working regulations; do a good job of ideological work, promote the sense of responsibility; further strengthen solidarity within the unit; unify will and action, devote all efforts to the common work; clearly assign tasks to people, clearly define work, clearly define responsibilities; strictly handle cases that cause trouble for people and businesses.
In addition, it is necessary to drastically implement tasks and solutions to increase state budget revenue, promote disbursement of public investment capital and national target programs. Urgently review, promptly issue or submit to competent authorities to issue relevant regulations and legal documents for unified and synchronous implementation throughout the province after the merger.

For the 2025 Summer-Autumn crop, currently, localities in the East of Dak Lak province are entering the dry season, the drought situation also greatly affects agricultural production. According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the 2025 Summer-Autumn crop, the Eastern localities of the province have completed sowing more than 24,000 hectares of rice, and the rice plants are currently entering the development and tillering stage. In the face of the current hot weather, the Provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment, relevant departments and branches, and localities to deploy solutions to prevent and combat drought and saltwater intrusion to minimize damage to crops and livestock.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hue, Chairman of Dong Cam Irrigation Company Limited, said that most of the rice growing areas in the eastern localities of Dak Lak province use irrigation water from the Dong Cam irrigation system. Currently, the company is operating and regulating irrigation water for more than 15,000 hectares of rice and dozens of hectares of other crops. The company has strengthened its regulation solutions, so far meeting 100% of the irrigation water needs for rice plants. According to forecasts, in the coming time, the hot weather will continue to last, Dong Cam Irrigation Company Limited will mobilize the maximum pumping system and take advantage of water sources to ensure that there is no drought for rice plants...
