Su-30MK2 will perform heat traps in the sky of Ho Chi Minh City on April 30

(Dan Tri) - Squadrons of Su-30MK2 fighter jets and Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters were mobilized to the South to perform demonstration flights to serve the celebration of the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day.

According to the Air Defense - Air Force, 5 Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters and Su-30MK2 fighters of Division 371 have just taken off to the South to prepare for the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 2025).

The flight crews and vehicles will gather at Bien Hoa airport, under the command of the 370th Air Division and train with the flight squadrons of this division.

It is expected that the Air Force's aircraft will perform in the skies above Ho Chi Minh City. Among them, helicopters will reenact the flag-raising performance as performed at the International Defense Exhibition and the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

In the plan, the Su-30MK2 fighter squadron will also perform a heat trap drop in the city's sky.

In addition to helicopters and Su-30MK2 fighters, the Air Force also mobilized Yak-130 training aircraft to participate in the parade. This could be the occasion for people to witness the largest number of military aircraft performing in the skies of Ho Chi Minh City.
