Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025 was launched on March 28. After more than three months of implementation, the preliminary round of the contest ended with results that far exceeded expectations - 2,625 entries were sent from secondary and high schools in 63 provinces and cities, covering all regions of the country, marking the year with the largest number of entries in the history of the contest.

Of which, Group A (Middle School) recorded 1,118 entries, while Group B (High School) reached 1,507 entries. These impressive numbers not only reflect the strong appeal of Solve for Tomorrow but also affirm the role of the competition as a launching pad to ignite passion for technology and innovation in the young generation. The equal participation from localities across the country shows that the program has succeeded in creating a fair playing field, encouraging students from all regions to express their ideas and contribute to the community.

After the preliminary round, students will have the opportunity to participate in many training programs with experts.

The entries at Solve for Tomorrow 2025 were notable not only for their quantity but also for their quality and diversity, demonstrating students’ deep concern for social, environmental and health issues. With three main themes – Sustainable Society, Sustainable Environment, and Sports and Technology – the teams presented innovative, human-centered solutions for sustainable development.

The topic of Sustainable Society with practical issues such as school safety, mental and physical health care, or support for vulnerable groups such as the disabled, the elderly, children, and students in remote areas... is of particular interest to students, accounting for the highest percentage, with 58% of entries in Group A and 56% in Group B. This shows that students today are clearly aware of their role in solving social challenges, just as the main purpose of the competition is not only to create technological solutions with immediate positive social impact but also to train and develop social awareness for the young generation right from when they are still in school.

In the Sustainable Environment category, entries demonstrated a strong connection to local practices, from pollution treatment, water resource protection, to resource recycling, demonstrating students’ sense of responsibility in preserving the living environment. Under the theme of Sports and Technology, ideas focused on personalizing the exercise experience, improving performance and ensuring safety, contributing to building a healthier community.

In particular, this year, the teams have cleverly applied advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), sensors and microcontroller programming to create smart solutions. For example, many projects use AI to identify dangerous behaviors. Meanwhile, IoT is integrated to build smart systems.

The highlight is that their design thinking always puts users at the center, prioritizes sustainability and practical application. Many solutions go beyond automation and integrate predictive and behavioral analysis capabilities, such as image, voice, or even brainwave recognition, showing remarkable maturity in technological thinking. These ideas not only reflect creativity but also demonstrate the sense of social responsibility and foresight of the young generation – who will lead Vietnam towards a sustainable, inclusive, and prosperous future.

The Preliminary Round is just the beginning of the inspiring journey of Solve for Tomorrow 2025. After selecting the best ideas, the winning teams will enter the Training Round, where they will participate in intensive training courses with experts from Samsung and leading partners. Here, students will be equipped with more knowledge about technology, presentation skills, and design thinking, helping to perfect their ideas and enhance their practical application. Teams will also receive guidance to develop product models, bringing their solutions closer to reality.

Next, the semi-finals and finals will be an opportunity for teams to present and defend their ideas before a panel of experts, compete for valuable prizes and the opportunity to realize their projects. This is not only a playground to find the most creative solutions but also a place for students to practice their courage, develop teamwork skills and systematic thinking.
