Speaking at the workshop “Sustainable Development 2023” with the theme of Responsibility - Our Actions organized by Dau Tu Newspaper on November 16, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong assessed that the pressures on transforming development methods, especially the commitment to zero net emissions by 2050 in the context of resource and energy shortages, low level of science and technology development... will put the Vietnamese economy in front of many challenges.
However, new development methods and models such as green growth, ecological economic development, circular economy, sharing economy, etc., along with scientific and technological advances, are providing the Vietnamese economy with many options for rapid and sustainable growth.
Sharing at the workshop, organizations and businesses also showed the efforts, responsibilities and actions from stakeholders to realize sustainable development goals.
With the view that retailers promote sustainable consumption and green lifestyle, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hue - Director of Human Resources, Communications and External Relations of AEON Vietnam said that sustainable consumption is one of the important contents of the National Strategy on green growth for the period 2021-2030.
