After losing to the Czech Republic in the semi-finals, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team continues to face a big challenge from Belgium in the third-place match of the FIVB Challenger Cup 2024 in the Philippines. In the world rankings, the Belgian women's volleyball team is ranked 14th, while Vietnam is ranked 34th. With a psychological advantage, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won 25-17 in set 3, ultimately defeating Belgium with a score of 3-1, winning third place at the FIVB Challenger Cup 2024. This is the first time the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has won against a team in the world's top 15 and also won a medal for the first time at the FIVB Challenger Cup.
