On September 5, Mr. Nguyen Cong Thanh - Chairman of Tuy Hoa Ward People's Committee - said that Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has agreed to assign the ward to inspect, review, evaluate the current situation and have a plan to repair and promptly fix the damage to the artistic lighting system at Nghinh Phong Tower.

Tourists disappointed because the lighting system of Nghinh Phong tower is damaged

Recently, many tourists who came to visit and experience Nghinh Phong tower said they were disappointed when the artistic lighting system that created the unique beauty of this construction was damaged and no longer sparkling as before.

Ms. Le Thu Hoai (tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) said: "I saw reviews on TikTok and saw that Nghinh Phong tower is very beautiful when lit up at night, the tower changes colors continuously, but today I came here and felt quite sorry that the tower did not have colored lights."

According to Tuoi Tre Online , on the evening of September 4, at the Nghinh Phong tower square, the floor was peeling off and the stone blocks were cracked. Two pillars were not lit by colored lights due to a broken lighting system.

Damaged for 7 months, why is it so slow to fix?

The Nghinh Phong Tower project is invested by the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Phu Yen Province (formerly), now the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of the Eastern Region of Dak Lak Province. The project was completed and handed over to the People's Committee of Tuy Hoa City (formerly) for management and use in September 2022.

Tuy Hoa Public Service Management Board is assigned to operate the Nghinh Phong tower's lighting system, but this board does not have the function or responsibility to maintain and repair the electrical system.

Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online, a representative of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects in the eastern part of Dak Lak province said that the artistic lighting system at Nghinh Phong Tower Square has been broken for more than 7 months now, and the project's warranty has also expired.

Recently, on August 26, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee assigned the Tuy Hoa Ward People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to urgently inspect, review, evaluate the current status and have a plan to repair and promptly fix the damage to the art lighting system at Nghinh Phong Tower, and report the results to the Provincial People's Committee before September 15.

Nghinh Phong Tower Square is inspired by the special national landscape of Ganh Da Dia combined with the legend of "Hundred Eggs" of the legendary Au Co - Lac Long Quan.

This is the only project in Southeast Asia to have been awarded the Asian Urban Landscape Award and was voted the World's Leading City Tourism Project in 2023 by the World Travel Awards Organizing Committee.
