On October 23, in Yen Phong commune, Yen Phong Commune People's Committee coordinated with Nghia Ta Commune People's Committee and Ke Go Company Limited Branch in Bac Kan to organize the Ceremony to announce FSC sustainable forest management certification for more than 4,200 hectares of forest participating in the project.

After more than 4 years of implementation, the Project “FSC Sustainable Forest Management in Nghia Ta and Yen Phong Communes” has achieved many outstanding results. During the implementation process, Ke Go Company Limited Branch has coordinated with local authorities to propagate and train 314 households on FSC forest group management, silvicultural techniques, monitoring, evaluation, labor safety, forest fire prevention and fighting and how to safely use chemicals and pesticides.

In addition, 85 households received intensive training in commune and village level group management. The project also conducted surveys, built maps of current status and functional forest zoning using GIS, assessed biodiversity, assessed environmental and social impacts and built a management system for FSC certified groups.

On October 2, 2025, the Project was officially granted the FSC Sustainable Forest Management Certificate by GFA (an organization recognized for assessing and granting certificates for Sustainable Forest Management under the VFCS system) for an area of ​​more than 4,200 hectares, with 3,663 forest plots, of 1,750 households participating in the project. Certification period: From October 2, 2025 to October 1, 2030.

The FSC certification is an important milestone, affirming the efforts of local authorities, people and businesses in sustainable forestry development, enhancing the economic value of forests and protecting the ecological environment. This is also the basis for expanding the area of ​​planted forests that meet international standards, creating opportunities for legal timber exports, and increasing stable income for local people.
