On the morning of June 26, at the exam site of Krong Bong High School (Krong Bong district, Dak Lak province), the appearance of a boy just over 1 meter tall made many people think he was taking his older siblings to take the high school graduation exam.
That "boy" is Nguyen Van Thien, a student in class 12A11, 1.25m tall, weighing less than 30kg, and is entering the biggest exam of his life.
Good student but choose to study a profession after high school graduation
Many candidates and supervisors were surprised to see Thien sitting in the middle of the exam table. One member of the inspection team even asked why there was a child in the room. After checking the documents, everyone realized that he was a candidate.
"The whole group was both surprised and impressed when hearing the teachers talk about Thien's determination," an exam supervisor shared.

Thien is small in stature but has a big will. In his senior year, he achieved excellent academic results, a result that was not only a recognition of his studies, but also a testament to his efforts to overcome his circumstances.
Thien was born into a near-poor family in Cu Kty commune, Krong Bong district. His parents farmed on a plot of land less than 5 sao, with an unstable income. His father worked as a hired laborer carrying trees, while his mother worked as a kitchen assistant to support the two brothers' education.
Thien understood the hardship so he chose a practical direction for himself.
"I want to learn a profession that suits my health and family circumstances. I hope to be able to work soon to take care of myself and help reduce the burden on my parents," Thien shared.
In a small house in Cu Kty commune, Mr. Nguyen Van Bay (Thien's father) only hopes that his son will be healthy and have a stable job. "I don't want my son to be famous or rich, I'm happy as long as he can take care of himself and be kind to everyone," he said.
The father's simple wish for his physically disadvantaged but strong-willed son is that after this exam, Thien will be given the opportunity to learn a trade and soon have a stable job.
Dream of becoming a YouTuber to tell beautiful stories
Not only is Thien a good student, he is also an emotional person, always caring for the people around him. "Thien is small but has a deep personality, often encourages his friends and always enthusiastically participates in class activities," said Nguyen Thi Kim Chi (classmate).
Thien also dreams of becoming a YouTuber to tell beautiful stories and spread the will to live to everyone. "I want to tell stories about people like me, even though they are small and have difficulties, they always try to rise up," Thien smiled gently.

Homeroom teacher Tran Thi Cam Van shared: "Thien is a hard-working student, gentle and knows how to improve. He has never asked his teachers for help, but everyone loves him and wants to support him so he can continue studying after this exam."
She said that while many of her classmates were worried about choosing a school and major, Thien had already decided on her path. It wasn’t because she couldn’t afford to go to college, but because she understood that her family would have difficulty paying the tuition for many years.
"I know my health is not as good as my friends', and my family is not well off. I just hope to learn a suitable profession, do well to earn money, take care of myself, and my parents will worry less," Thien said.
