With the news that many schools in Phan Thiet have stopped organizing boarding schools, Lam Dong's education sector immediately took action.

(NLDO) - After listening to the opinions of the principals, the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province shared the difficulties and problems of the schools.

On September 4, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province Le Thi Bich Lien held a meeting with principals of kindergartens and primary schools that organize boarding schools for the 2025-2026 school year in the Phan Thiet area.

The meeting aims to remove difficulties and obstacles related to boarding organization at the above facilities.

Here, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province once again announced that the People's Council of Lam Dong province issued Resolution No. 21/NQ-HDND dated August 28, 2025 on the application and abolition of legal documents of the People's Councils of 3 provinces ( Binh Thuan , Dak Nong, Lam Dong) before the merger.

Resolution 21 selects Resolution No. 385, dated December 10, 2024 of the People's Council of Lam Dong province (old) on regulations on revenue items, collection levels, revenue and expenditure management mechanisms for educational support services at schools, to apply throughout the province.

At the meeting, representatives of some schools said that if the collection rate as in Resolution 385 is applied, they will face difficulties because they have purchased some items to prepare for the new school year before August 28.

With the collection level according to Resolution 385, it will not be enough to hire nannies for boarding services.

On the other hand, according to Circular 214, the purchase of food and provisions for boarding students must be bid according to the provisions of law.

The implementation of revenue and expenditure according to Resolution 385 is mandatory. For things that are not regulated by Resolution 385, the school must discuss and agree with the parents' association so that they can voluntarily collect them to serve the purpose of boarding school.

Regarding the difficulty in bidding to buy food for boarding students, the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province said that temporarily in the first 2 weeks, schools will still buy from suppliers like the previous school year to serve boarding students.

During that time, the provincial Department of Education and Training will provide specific instructions and training according to regulations.
