At Nguyen Chi Thanh High School (Hoa Thanh town), on the first day of the exam, from 5:30 a.m., the volunteer youth team participating in the "Supporting the Exam Season" program busily cleaned the school grounds and prepared tools and supplies to assist the candidates. In the serious atmosphere before the exam, the volunteers devoted all their efforts to supporting the candidates according to the assignments and arrangements of the school's Youth Union.

Ms. Ho Thuy Thuy Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Nguyen Chi Thanh High School, said that due to the school's unique terrain, which is quite large with many buildings, and the examination area being far from the entrance gate, the team arranged separate grounds and personnel to suit each area.

This year, the school's Exam Support Team consists of 30 members, divided into 3 groups: Group 1 is responsible for providing water, bread, study materials, and reminding candidates to prepare necessary items and documents for the exam; Group 2 is responsible for managing and safeguarding candidates' personal belongings; and Group 3 guides candidates to their exam rooms, especially assisting candidates with mobility difficulties or disabilities.

In addition, the Student Union prepared supplies to support candidates in bad weather, such as tarpaulins and umbrellas to provide shelter for candidates during their commute and for invigilators when it was time to bring exam papers and documents to the examination rooms. “After two days of support, the volunteers did a great job fulfilling their assigned tasks. Everyone was very happy to contribute their efforts to the organization of the 2025 high school graduation exam,” Ms. Duong shared.

In Chau Thanh district, the support for exam candidates was effectively and practically organized by the District Youth Union in coordination with school Youth Unions. Besides providing snacks, soft drinks, and study materials, the district's 2025 Exam Support Team also deployed a free motorbike taxi service and a traffic management team to ensure the safety of exam candidates and maintain security, order, and traffic safety in the exam area.

Furthermore, to support candidates from distant areas of the examination center, Chau Thanh District Youth Union organized a lunch break and provided free meals for 30 candidates. Among them, 5 candidates staying overnight were provided with comfortable and clean accommodation.

Nguyen Le Tan Loc, a student from Phuoc Vinh commune, Chau Thanh district, class 12A1 at Le Hong Phong High School, said that his home is nearly 30km from the exam location, so he registered to stay at the exam support center to rest and prepare for the rotating exams between subjects. Here, he received enthusiastic support from the volunteers, who reminded him to be on time, inquired about his health, and encouraged him to do well in each part of the exam. “I am truly grateful for the care and support of the volunteers. Thanks to their support, I felt relaxed while taking the exam,” Loc said.

Enthusiasm, seriousness, and proactiveness are the criteria that volunteers prioritize in their support efforts. With the help of these young volunteers, many candidates arrived at the exam room on time, and they were assisted with study materials such as calculators, pens, and pencils when candidates unfortunately forgot them.

The volunteers braved the sun and rain, providing unwavering support to ensure that candidates did not get wet when it rained. Or simply offering words of encouragement like "Keep going, good luck with your exam" also gave candidates extra strength before entering the examination room.

According to the Provincial Youth Union, following the direction of the Provincial High School Graduation Examination Steering Committee, the Provincial Youth Union, in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, implemented the "Supporting Students During Exams" program in 2025. The support work was planned and prepared by all levels of the Youth Union a month in advance and implemented synchronously across 19 examination sites with more than 600 volunteers. The volunteer teams focused on three main groups: the Support Team, the Exam Room Team, and the Safe Examination Site Team.

Specifically, the Support Team carries out assistance activities such as: guiding candidates to exam rooms, providing exam schedules, distributing study materials, drinking water, meals, and snacks; the Exam Room Team provides free transportation for candidates, especially those in remote areas, border regions, and those with disabilities; and the Safe Exam Site Team participates in guiding and managing traffic flow at exam sites.

At the same time, actively coordinate with relevant authorities to safeguard personal belongings, guide candidates to bring all necessary identification documents and study materials for the exam, and promptly prevent negative incidents affecting candidates such as theft, fraud, security breaches, and traffic safety issues.

Ms. Trinh Thi Nhu Trang – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union – visited and inquired about the situation of the students taking the exam at Quang Trung High School (Go Dau district).

According to Ms. Trinh Thi Nhu Trang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, this year the "Supporting Students During Exams" program was proactively implemented early to adapt to the policy of reorganizing the administrative apparatus and merging administrative units, and changing the method of the high school graduation exam. The preparation of resources and materials, and the mobilization of volunteers to deploy volunteer teams, involved diverse activities to ensure that students could confidently overcome difficulties and enter the examination room.

This year, the " Supporting Students During Exams" program received an enthusiastic response from numerous volunteers throughout the province. After two days of implementation, the volunteers made every effort to coordinate with school principals and relevant authorities to complete the task of ensuring safety, security, and order at the examination sites; creating the best possible conditions for candidates to participate in the exam.

With the conclusion of the 2025 high school graduation exams, as candidates complete this important test in their lives, volunteers also conclude their volunteer support journey. For many years, the "Supporting Students During Exams" program has become a popular volunteer activity among young people. The program not only supports exam candidates but also provides an opportunity for young people to hone their communication skills, teamwork abilities, problem-solving skills, and develop greater confidence, while also understanding the meaning of living a life that benefits the community and society.
